The Fresh Batch Sketch #40

For the Whimsy Holiday Hop through the 12 Days of Christmas click here

What a fun, snowy scene! This card is my take on this week's Fresh Batch sketch. I used "Tis the Season" from Stamps and Smiles. The snow is Tulip fabric paint topped with Martha Stewart "snow" glitter. The snowflakes are also Martha Stewart. I used some circle alphabet stickers from my stash. The sparkly fiber is from Michael's Christmas collection...it's really cool stretchy stuff! Please be sure you stop by The Fresh Batch to see the other ideas on this sketch and to play along with us this week!

Stamps and Smiles is also having a great sale through Dec. 15th! She's also adding new digi stamps weekly so don't miss out!

Tiny card with big wishes

For the Whimsy Holiday Hop through the 12 Days of Christmas click here

This week the designers at Angel's Landing were challenged to create a minature card of 3 inches or less. This was new and I enjoyed trying something different! I used the sweet bear image with the birdie friend from the "mini bears and birds" at Angel's Landing. I colored the image with Copics. The ribbon is a craft taffeta with a pink button on top. Be sure to check out the rest of the designers ideas for their mini cards on the Angel's Landing Blog!

On the eleventh day of Christmas

On the eleventh day of Christmas
my true love sent to me:
Eleven Pipers Piping

Welcome to my part of the Whimsy Stamps Holiday hop through the "12 days of Christmas!" If you arrived from Crissy's blog you're on the right track~ if not please head to Bev's if you'd like to start from the very beginning!

We are thrilled to welcome Crissy Armstrong and are loving her new stamps for Whimsy! There is candy to be had...so be sure to comment on the Whimsy blog for your chance to win. This event will end November 13th at noon EST. Be sure to hit each stop on the hop as the new designs are wonderful and you won't want to miss a thing!

I did an easel card for my project. Here's a link to how to make one. I used Crissy's adorable snowman and friend stamp. I like this one particularly since it can be used for holidays and winter too! It is colored with Copic markers. I printed out a digital snowflake stamp really large and in blue. I filled in the snowflake with Stickles to add some sparkle! I cut out my snowman image with a circle Nestability and layered it on a larger one in teal. I put dimensional adhesive behind the circle to raise it above the bottom layer snowflake. I punched two large snowflakes (Martha Stewart snowflake punch). I used the Merry Christmas postage sentiment from Whimsy to go inside the snowflake punch. The easel base is decorated with red velvet ribbon and self adhesive snowflake flocked lace by We R Memory Keepers (Hobby Lobby). I'm really happy with how it turned out!

Now that I've shared my snowman with you it's time for you to move along in the song. Your next verse is with Denise. Have a great time and don't worry...no one will know if you're singing along off key!

Project Tuesday -Pocket Card

This week's project is a fun one. I've made several of these over the years and always like them! You can find a nice tutorial here for these. I was feeling sunny today so I went with a bright color! I used the Magnolia sun stamp. The sentiment is "happy swirl" by Stampendous. I used Copics to color the sun and a Stampin Up marker for the sentiment. The star designer paper is from my stash and really old, sorry. Please dont' forget to stop by Project Tuesday to see the huge variety of takes on this! We'd love for you to play along!

Guest Design Project for There's Magic in the Air

This week for Nina we were asked to do a monochromatic card with this beautiful platter of pumpkins. Hop over to Nina's blog and grab this pretty image for free and play along! I printed the image twice and used dimensional adhesive to layer the pumpkins. I used double on the smallest pumpkin as it's in the front. I think it turned out neat! I love these warm fall colors! The background paper is embossed with a Cuttlebug folder. The fiber is from EK Success. Hope you all enjoy a beautiful Fall day!
